Facial Scanning and Implant Bar Training 
 
Overview
During our training day on November 8th we will primarily focus on taking a finalized waxup or Denture Design into Exocad to integrate with implants for a temporary prosthetic, and then splitting this case with Blender iBar to create a substructure (Bar) and superstructure (Teeth). I will also be showing the Shining 3D Facial scanner (MetiSmile) and how this can be used for everything from a single central to a full mouth design. We will start with our philosophy of “design with the end in mind” from FP1 to FP3 design styles. We always want to anticipate splitting this file in Blender for the final product. From design to finish we will go over our workflow. Covering blender steps, manufacturing, and post processing. In our practice we use electropolishing and aluminum oxide abrasion. I will go over the equipment and tool list used for hand polishing, cementation and bonding techniques for Zirconia and PMMA. Sample implant models, bars and superstructures can be provided. Attendees with moderate Exocad design skills should bring their laptop and Exocad Dongle (I will bring files for them to work on a sample case. Attendees with Blender already or ones that are interested in Blender iBar should bring their laptops. I will bring files they can use as a sample case to follow along in the design process. (I can allow temporary access to all attendees for 30 Days). 
 
Goals
Blender iBar Design: Installation of iBar is recommended prior to the site visit (Can be performed remotely). We will go over the design process, manufacturing in various materials, and post processing techniques. 
Exocad Temporary Design: From waxup to temporary. I will go over creating a case in Exocad, using implant positions, and sculpting steps. 
Facial Scanning: Now partnered with Shining 3D I will bring the facial scanner that we truly think is the best on the market and use in our practice. I will demonstrate the facial scanner and how it is used to create beautiful smiles.
